For the 2007-2008 Funding Competition for the research, 10 projects of Hexagram members/researchers have been accepted. They will also receive a financial support in order to realize their projects that having an important potential of creation and evaluation. The total amount of this Funding Competition reaches 369 556 $ and comes only from the Hexagram Funds, a private funds composed by four founding partners : the Daniel Langlois Foundation for Art, Science and Technology, the Cirque du Soleil, the Gillett Entertainment Group and Clear Channel Entertainment.
19 projects have been proposed and 10 of them have been chosen by the Board of Directors.

The total amounts allowed for each project are between 8 024 $ and 55 955 $, that brings the final amount of the grants fort the research/creation to 4 448 312$ since the beginning of Hexagram. Founded by UQÀM and Concordia, Hexagram is the largest Canadian university consortium dedicated to research/creation in media arts. Overseeing over 90 university-level artists/researchers, assisted by over 350 graduate students, Hexagram contributes to make Montreal a leader in the field.
