Interdisciplinary Encounters 2020
The project consists of producing a video that highlights lesser-known aspects of the gastronomic potential of the boreal forest. Drawing on his in situ practice, Domingo Cisneros will demonstrate the properties of the three brothers (spruce, cedar, and fir) and their potential for transformation. Through identification and harvesting carried out with respect for ecosystems, Domingo Cisneros will reveal some of the secrets of these essential materials, exploring both their traditional and contemporary applications.
Video produced by Ælab for Médiane, the Canada Research Chair in Arts, Ecotechnologies of Practice and Climate Change, and the Centre for Research and Experimentation in Forest Arts (CREAF).
Writer, artist, and independent researchers, Domingo Cisneros and Antoinette de Robien founded the CREAF (Centre for Research and Experimentation in Forest Arts) in 2000.
