This online performance by Archie Reid will feature the use of a “technological aid to metamorphosis,” a prosthetic synthesizer hacked into a modular synthesizer system. Butoh dance will guide the music. Through the figure of the serpent, I will explore shedding, an act of rebirth. The live performance will be accompanied by video feedback, like an ouroboros biting its own tail.
