{"id":11949,"date":"2023-02-23T17:34:06","date_gmt":"2023-02-23T17:34:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hexagram.ca\/linstallation-collective-fossilation-presentee-dans-le-journal-antennae\/"},"modified":"2023-12-13T10:54:12","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T15:54:12","slug":"linstallation-collective-fossilation-presentee-dans-le-journal-antennae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/en\/linstallation-collective-fossilation-presentee-dans-le-journal-antennae\/","title":{"rendered":"The collective installation Fossilation featured at Antennae"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Antennae ISSUE 59 \u2014 AUTUMN 2022<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The latest issue of the journal\u00a0<em>Antennae<\/em>, titled \u2018Microbial Ecologies\u2019, features the SSHRC-funded\u00a0<em>Fossilation<\/em>\u00a0project, co-directed by Milieux&#8217;s Bio Lab Director (and Concordia\u2019s Research Chair in Critical Practices in Materials and Materiality) Alice Jarry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The featured paper,\u00a0<em>Form taking\/force shaping<\/em>, written by Alice Jarry [Co-investigator member, Concordia], Marie-Pier Boucher [Collaborator member, UoT], Brice Ammar-Khodja [Student member, Concordia], lee wilkins, Vanessa Mardirossian [Student member, Concordia], and Samuel Bianchini [Collaborator member, EnsadLab], provides a critical reflection on the collective installation\u00a0<em>Fossilation<\/em>\u00a0and the research and creation process that informed the project. The whole issue offers a \u201ctimely range of multidisciplinary practices, approaches, methodologies, and conceptions to help us see and value the microbial worlds that until recently have remained invisible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Fossilation<\/em>&nbsp;is large bioplastic membrane and an apparatus harvesting residual energy from its environment to interact with light.
