Cette recherche-cr\u00e9ation vient conclure le parcours d\u2019Elisa \u00e0 la ma\u00eetrise en communication, concentration recherche-cr\u00e9ation en m\u00e9dia exp\u00e9rimental, sous la direction de Simon-Pierre Gourd et Louis-Claude Paquin [membre cochercheur, UQAM].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Description du projet<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Variations synesth\u00e9siques<\/em>, c\u2019est la tentative de faire percevoir la couleur sans pour autant la voir, dans une installation m\u00e9diatique et performative. Six couleurs dont les identit\u00e9s visuelle, sonore et chor\u00e9graphique sont incarn\u00e9es \u00e0 travers l\u2019image, le son et le mouvement improvis\u00e9. Cette installation pluri-m\u00e9diatique propose d\u2019appr\u00e9hender la couleur sous un angle multi-perceptif, dans une exp\u00e9rience sous un d\u00f4me de trente-deux haut-parleurs, avec en son c\u0153ur une structure de vid\u00e9o-projection invitant \u00e0 d\u00e9ambuler autour. Ceci g\u00e9n\u00e8re un espace intime, visuel, sonore et tactile o\u00f9 les interpr\u00e8tes m\u00ealent leur univers chor\u00e9graphique \u00e0 la pi\u00e8ce audiovisuelle en laissant aller leurs corps au gr\u00e9 des couleurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019image, le son et le mouvement se rencontrent dans un espace physique et num\u00e9rique pour proposer une lecture des couleurs sous le prisme synesth\u00e9sique d\u2019Elisa Sibert, mais aussi celle des interpr\u00e8tes et des personnes invit\u00e9es \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir cette installation aussi bien contemplative qu\u2019appelant au l\u00e2cher prise et au mouvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Variations synesth\u00e9siques | \u0153uvre ambisonique 2023\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2rkOIciV9-M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe> \n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Il est recommand\u00e9 de regarder la vid\u00e9o avec un casque d\u2019\u00e9coute.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:75px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>D\u00e9marche cr\u00e9ative<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s plusieurs projets \u00e9tudiants et personnels dans lesquels la couleur occupait toujours un r\u00f4le symbolique, il apparaissait comme une \u00e9vidence pour Elisa de consacrer une recherche-cr\u00e9ation \u00e0 la synesth\u00e9sie tout en y m\u00ealant un langage chor\u00e9graphique, souvent mis de c\u00f4t\u00e9 dans ses projets m\u00e9diatiques ant\u00e9rieurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le projet se d\u00e9finit comme la tentative de repr\u00e9senter les couleurs comme Elisa les per\u00e7oit, \u00e0 travers des disciplines faisant partie de son vocabulaire cr\u00e9atif. Sa synesth\u00e9sie repose en effet sur l\u2019association de couleurs \u00e0 des mots, des \u00e9motions, des id\u00e9es, des personnalit\u00e9s. Elle cherche \u00e0 exprimer par un dispositif multim\u00e9dia, l\u2019essence de la couleur comme vectrice d\u2019\u00e9motion, tant sur le plan symbolique que du langage. Sa premi\u00e8re d\u00e9marche est d\u2019extraire le caract\u00e8re des six couleurs culturelles dominantes d\u2019apr\u00e8s les \u00e9crits de l\u2019historien Michel Pastoureau (<em>Le petit livre des couleurs<\/em>, Pastoureau et Simmonet, 2005) en recourant \u00e0 l\u2019image, au son et \u00e0 la chor\u00e9graphie. L\u2019id\u00e9e est \u00e9galement de chercher \u00e0 mettre en dialogue le r\u00e9el et le virtuel&nbsp;: les canaux num\u00e9riques sont l\u2019incarnation des stimulations sensorielles et la performance chor\u00e9graphique, celle de l\u2019expression physique de ces signaux internes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1110\" height=\"381\" src=\"http:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/IMG_DEMO46-01-noir-1-1110x381.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_DEMO46-01-noir-1-1110x381.png 1110w, https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_DEMO46-01-noir-1.png 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1110px) 100vw, 1110px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><sup>Exp\u00e9rimentations graphiques synesth\u00e9siques dans Adobe After Effects \u00a9 Elisa Sibert<\/sup><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La d\u00e9marche cr\u00e9ative repose \u00e9galement sur la volont\u00e9 de rassembler dans un m\u00eame espace les pratiques qui ont construit la cr\u00e9atrice qu\u2019elle est, mais aussi celles qui alimentent les \u00e9motions que ses techniques sont capables de produire. <em>Variations synesth\u00e9siques<\/em> est ainsi con\u00e7u comme la rencontre entre les diff\u00e9rentes facettes d\u2019Elisa&nbsp;: la cr\u00e9atrice num\u00e9rique, la vid\u00e9aste, la danseuse, la graphiste, la gestionnaire de projet, l\u2019\u00e9tudiante, la synesth\u00e8te.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:75px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Processus de cr\u00e9ation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le processus de cr\u00e9ation s\u2019est articul\u00e9 autour de l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019improvisation, tant dans la spontan\u00e9it\u00e9 de l\u2019acte performatif que dans le processus de recherche et de gestion de projet, structur\u00e9 de sorte qu\u2019une production plus spontan\u00e9e puisse en jaillir. Les diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tapes et versions de la recherche-cr\u00e9ation se sont \u00e9tal\u00e9es entre l\u2019automne&nbsp;2021 et l\u2019automne&nbsp;2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D\u2019abord, \u00e0 l\u2019automne&nbsp;2021 et l\u2019hiver 2022, Elisa a l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019exp\u00e9rimenter les techniques du son spatialis\u00e9 (dans huit puis quinze haut-parleurs) et de la vid\u00e9o-projection en simultan\u00e9e dans le cadre de s\u00e9minaires en recherche-cr\u00e9ation sur le son et la vid\u00e9o. Les projets sont diff\u00e9rents, mais l\u2019objectif est toujours le m\u00eame&nbsp;: d\u00e9peindre l\u2019identit\u00e9 de chacune des six couleurs dans diff\u00e9rents canaux m\u00e9diatiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lors de l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9&nbsp;2022 et \u00e0 l\u2019instar d\u2019un enregistrement de terrain (<em>fiel recording<\/em>), des sessions film\u00e9es d\u2019improvisation en danse et th\u00e9\u00e2tre sont organis\u00e9es, avec des lectures de po\u00e8mes sur la perception d\u2019Elisa quant \u00e0 chaque couleur. Une premi\u00e8re pi\u00e8ce sonore est cr\u00e9\u00e9e \u00e0 partir des lectures de po\u00e8me, dans <em>Ableton Live<\/em> puis retravaill\u00e9e dans <em>Reaper<\/em> et spatialis\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 <em>SPAT Revolution<\/em>. La vid\u00e9o-projection est compos\u00e9e des images de l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9&nbsp;2022 et de cr\u00e9ations graphiques. La structure se pr\u00e9sente comme suit&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Introduction aux six couleurs, comme si elles \u00e9taient m\u00e9lang\u00e9es sur une palette, \u00e0 la fois dissociables et existant comme un tout. Puis le bleu, doux, poli, consensuel, vient tapisser l\u2019espace de ses sonorit\u00e9s famili\u00e8res et rassurantes.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le jaune, semblable au bleu dans son identit\u00e9 sonore, v\u00e9hicule quelque chose de plus p\u00e9tillant, de plus captivant pour le public, visuellement et chor\u00e9graphiquement, l\u2019immersion se laisse sentir, le public entre dans cet univers plus marqu\u00e9. Le blanc quant \u00e0 lui installe une atmosph\u00e8re sourde et lancinante, \u00e0 la fois m\u00e9ditative et oppressante.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le rouge et son identit\u00e9 forte fait monter la tension dans son rythme, ses sonorit\u00e9s plus aig\u00fces et dans sa nature \u00e9touffante, les mouvements sonores se multiplient et s\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e8rent pour encha\u00eener avec le noir, la couleur la plus oppressante malgr\u00e9 une tension rel\u00e2ch\u00e9e.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le vert, amen\u00e9 par le noir, plonge le public dans un univers plus myst\u00e9rieux, plus \u00e9trange et hypnotisant apr\u00e8s le voyage visuel et sonore d\u00e9j\u00e0 parcouru. La tension continue avec son decrescendo pour se conclure sur une lente coda.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans cette it\u00e9ration finale, la structure hexagonale est divis\u00e9e en trois couples de panneaux, permettant de se d\u00e9placer \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, mais \u00e9galement d\u2019incarner la dualit\u00e9 et trialit\u00e9 dont il est question dans les rapports entre les couleurs. Les interpr\u00e8tes entrent dans l\u2019espace puis improvisent des motifs chor\u00e9graphiques, mouvements et intentions qui soulignent l\u2019identit\u00e9 de chaque couleur. Form\u00e9e aux techniques audiovisuelles, au design d\u2019exp\u00e9rience et \u00e0 la gestion de projet m\u00e9diatique, elle fonde sa recherche-cr\u00e9ation sur le mod\u00e8le de gestion agile comme un objectif cr\u00e9atif. Membre \u00e9tudiante Hexagram et membre du Groupe de Recherche pour la M\u00e9diatisation du Son (GRMS) en tant que vid\u00e9aste et photographe, elle s\u2019applique \u00e0 m\u00ealer la couleur \u00e0 des th\u00e8mes comme l\u2019introspection et le percept dans son m\u00e9dium de pr\u00e9dilection : l\u2019image et sa vid\u00e9o-projection. Elisa est \u00e9galement danseuse contemporaine et int\u00e8gre des disciplines comme le travail au sol, les acrobaties et le contact \u00e0 sa technique\u2009; elle croit \u00e9galement fort en l\u2019improvisation comme vecteur de cr\u00e9ation, en arts vivants comme en arts num\u00e9riques.
