(3) <em>Por si acaso se acaba el mundo todo el sol he de aprovechar<\/em>, Sabina G\u00e1mez, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hexagram Network presents an all-female lineup for the 2025 edition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/village-numerique.mutek.org\/\">Village Num\u00e9rique<\/a><\/strong>, hosted by MUTEK and Xn Qu\u00e9bec.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Held from August 14 to 28, 2025, in the Chaufferie at UQAM\u2019s Coeur des Sciences, the exhibition <em>Intimate Territories: Reclaiming through Research-Creation<\/em> showcases works by members of the Network: <em>ChamberS<\/em> by <strong>Jihen Ben Chikha<\/strong>, <em>CLTRS<\/em> by <strong>Laureline Chiapello<\/strong>, and <em>Por si acaso se acaba el mundo todo el sol he de aprovechar<\/em> by <strong>Sabina G\u00e1mez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through these creations, the artists revisit the notions of self and territory, inviting the public to reconnect with their sensations and emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Meet the Artists<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A free public presentation under the theme <a href=\"https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/en\/rituels-radicaux-au-feminin\/\"><em>Radical Rituals<\/em> <em>in the Femi<\/em><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3HbueP5\"><em>nine<\/em><\/a> will be held on Saturday, August 23, from 3&nbsp;PM to 5&nbsp;PM, at the Agora of the C\u0153ur des sciences. Each artist will present their work and creative research process, followed by a discussion panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Artists<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-layout-2 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jihenbenchikha.com\/\">Jihen Ben Chikha<\/a><\/strong> [student member] is a Tunisian multidisciplinary artist currently living and working in Montreal. She holds a master\u2019s degree in Visual and Media Arts from UQAM (Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al), completed in 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her work has been exhibited internationally and in Canada, notably at the CDEx\u2014UQAM (2024), at Gep\u00e4ckausgabe in Switzerland (2021), at Galerie Centrale in Tunis (2021), Goethe Institut Tunis (2021), and Media Art Friesland in the Netherlands (2018). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is the recipient of a research-creation grant from the Chaire M\u00e9diane (2023) and a Pierre Ayot excellence scholarship from the UQAM Foundation (2021).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/portrait_JBenChikha.jpg\" alt=\"Photo en noir et blanc de Jihen Ben Chikha aux cheveux et ondul\u00e9es, v\u00eatue d'une chemise et pantalon larges noirs et de lunettes rondes.\" class=\"wp-image-21425\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-layout-3 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/laulgame.itch.io\/\">Laureline Chiapello<\/a><\/strong> [co-investigator member] is a professor of game design at NAD-UQAC School. She earned her PhD in game design from the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her work focuses on narrative, playability, and cultural representations. She explores creative processes and inclusivity, combining digital practices with social engagement. She regularly collaborates with Montreal-based video game companies in her research, as well as with her students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laureline has published articles in academic journals such as <em>Sciences du Jeu<\/em>, <em>Design Studies<\/em>, and <em>RACART: Canadian Art Review<\/em>. She has presented her work at numerous conferences, including the <em>Digital Games Research Association Conference (DiGRA)<\/em> and the <em>Design Research Society Conference (DRS)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/portrait_LChiapello-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21431\" style=\"object-fit:cover\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-layout-4 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sabinagamez.com\/\">Sabina G\u00e1mez<\/a><\/strong> [student member] is a Colombian new media artist with an MFA in Studio Arts (Intermedia) from Concordia University (2025).
