Over the past few years, an experiment was conducted in collaboration with the creators of the work and a research team at the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Rimouski (UQAR). Its goal was to assess the overall appreciation of this autism\u2011related immersive experience, as well as its possible effects on empathy, attitudes, and knowledge among student teachers in initial training programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This presentation will focus on the experiment carried out, the methodology, the challenges encountered, and the adjustments made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>This lecture is produced in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/recherche.uqam.ca\/unites_de_recherche\/chaire-uqam-de-creation-des-realites-etendues-en-education-crxe\/\">X\u00b7RE Chair<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/eavm.uqam.ca\/babillard\/le-laboratoire-1p1-une-infrastructure-dexperimentation-en-realite-etendue-projet-mene-par-martin-lalonde-bertrand-gervais-nathalie-lacelle\/\">1P1 Laboratory<\/a> as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/en\/rencontres-interdisciplinaires-2026\/\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/fr\/rencontres-interdisciplinaires-2026\/\">2026 <\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/fr\/rencontres-interdisciplinaires-2026\/\"><strong>Interdisciplinary Encounters<\/strong><\/a><\/a>.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>About the Speakers<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uqar.ca\/professeurs\/jolicoeur-edith\/\">Edith Jolicoeur<\/a>, Ph.D., is a professor\u2011researcher at the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Rimouski, L\u00e9vis campus. She is a regular researcher at the Institut universitaire en d\u00e9ficience intellectuelle et en trouble du spectre de l\u2019autisme. Her research focuses on access to literacy and on issues related to the educational, professional, and social inclusion of people with specific needs. She teaches in the certificate program and short graduate program specializing in autism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uqar.ca\/professeurs\/caron-josianne\/\">Josianne Caron<\/a> is a professor\u2011researcher in classroom management within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uqar.ca\/luniversite\/departements\/unites-departementales-des-sciences-de-l-education\/\">Education Sciences Unit<\/a> at the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Rimouski, L\u00e9vis campus.
