Cette r\u00e9sidence se fonde sur la diffusion et l\u2019\u00e9valuation d\u2019un outil de cr\u00e9ation sonore et de mise en espace sonore. Outil libre qui vise \u00e0 faciliter l\u2019improvisation de musiques \u00e9lectroniques sur de multiples haut-parleurs. Cette recherche, qui permet de questionner les mani\u00e8res d\u2019associer les param\u00e8tres rythmiques et spatiaux, se base sur le concept d\u2019oeuvres ouvertes, autant du point de vue de la forme que dans la diffusion du <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Xon77\/Live4Life\">code en source libre<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce projet aborde diff\u00e9rentes probl\u00e9matiques\/th\u00e9matiques de recherche, notamment les nouvelles fa\u00e7ons d\u2019interagir et de contr\u00f4ler des dizaines ou centaines d&rsquo;objets sonores dans l\u2019espace des haut-parleurs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Comment lier et \u00e9tablir une correspondance entre les param\u00e8tres temporels, spectraux et spatiaux d\u2019une multitude de sons simultan\u00e9ment, afin de cr\u00e9er et moduler un espace rythmique en temps r\u00e9el ? <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Comment associer et varier diff\u00e9rents types de spatialisation (rythmique \/ fr\u00e9quentielle \u2013 statique \/ mobile \u2013 globale ou homog\u00e8ne \/ h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e8ne, contrastant et illuminant les diff\u00e9rents haut-parleurs) ?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Les r\u00e9ponses \u00e0 ces questions sont disponibles dans le <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Xon77\/Live4Life\/wiki\">wiki du projet, disponible sur Github<\/a>, qui est document\u00e9 et mis \u00e0 jour au fur et \u00e0 mesure de cette recherche spatiale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette pr\u00e9sentation a int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 la fois:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>une installation performative participative autour du th\u00e8me de la solitude, afin que le public puisse<strong> <\/strong>jouer et exp\u00e9rimenter avec l\u2019outil pr\u00e9par\u00e9;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>et un atelier de formation en immersion et spatialisation sonore, afin que les participants puissent s\u2019approprier des outils gratuits et en source libre pour cr\u00e9er et improviser avec l\u2019espace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul uk-accordion=\"collapsible: true; duration: 500\" class=\"uk-accordion\">\n<li>\n<h5 class=\"uk-accordion-title uk-card uk-card-secondary uk-card-hover uk-padding-small\">En savoir plus sur l&rsquo;installation performative<\/h5>\n<div class=\"uk-section uk-section-muted uk-padding-large uk-accordion-content\">\n<p>L&rsquo;installation performative participative a eu lieu autour du th\u00e8me de la solitude, afin que le public puisse s\u2019approprier et jouer avec l\u2019outil pr\u00e9par\u00e9, notamment \u00e0 partir d\u2019\u0153uvres des compositeurs \u00e9lectroacoustiques Bernard Parmegiani (L\u2019enfer de Dante, De Natura Sonorum, R\u00eaveries) et Francis Dhomont (Sous le regard d\u2019un soleil noir). De courtes performances de 5 \u00e0 10 minutes \u00e9taient r\u00e9alis\u00e9es \u00e0 la volont\u00e9 des participants, en recomposant cette mati\u00e8re sonore dans l&rsquo;espace, notamment via les vitesses de lecture, \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re d&rsquo;un DJ spatial. Cet atelier a \u00e9galement permis de r\u00e9colter des informations via des questionnaires \u00e9valuant l\u2019outil de performance et les pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences spatiales des participants. Ces donn\u00e9es seront prochainement utilis\u00e9es dans un article de recherche apr\u00e8s analyse.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DEMO33_001.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DEMO33_001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13731\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DEMO33_002.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/DEMO33_002.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13704\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n<p>L\u2019objectif ultime de cette installation\/formation spatiale avec l\u2019outil Live 4 Life est similaire \u00e0 celui de Feda Wardak, cr\u00e9ateur d\u2019installations architecturales plastiques dans l\u2019espace public, en cela qu&rsquo;il consiste \u00e0 \u00ab rendre visible le m\u00e9canisme pour que les gens comprennent comment cela marche et s\u2019en emparent, afin que l\u2019on retrouve le bien commun. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Christophe souhaite remercier le soutien financier du FRQSC, son directeur de recherche Philippe-Aubert Gauthier [membre cochercheur, UQAM], Gabrielle Couillard [membre \u00e9tudiante], ainsi que toute l\u2019\u00e9quipe d\u2019Hexagram pour leur assistance tout au long de cette r\u00e9sidence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uk-card uk-card-body uk-padding-large\">\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center; font-size: 20px; color: #ffffff;\"><b>Biographie<\/b><\/h5>\n<br>\nChristophe Lengel\u00e9 a obtenu un doctorat en composition et cr\u00e9ation sonore de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al en 2022. Il r\u00e9alise actuellement un stage postdoctoral \u00e0 l&rsquo;UQAM en recherche-cr\u00e9ation sur l\u2019improvisation spatiale sous la direction de Philippe-Aubert Gauthier gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 financement du FRQSC.<br>\n<br>\nIl d\u00e9veloppe depuis 2011 un outil de cr\u00e9ation sonore et de mise en espace sonore. Outil libre qui vise \u00e0 faciliter l\u2019improvisation de musiques \u00e9lectroniques sur de multiples haut-parleurs. Sa recherche spatiale, qui questionne les mani\u00e8res d\u2019associer les param\u00e8tres rythmiques et spatiaux, se base sur le concept d\u2019\u0153uvres ouvertes, autant du point de vue de la forme que dans la <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Xon77\/Live4Life\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diffusion du code en source libre.<\/a><br>\n<br>\nSa recherche-cr\u00e9ation a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019international, notamment \u00e0 l\u2019International Computer Music Conference (2018 et 2021), lors des Journ\u00e9es d\u2019Informatique Musicale en France (2017 et 2019), ainsi qu\u2019au Festival Akousma 2021 (Montr\u00e9al, Canada), au Cube Fest 2022 (Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, USA) et et plus r\u00e9cemment au gala Hexagram 2023 (Montr\u00e9al, Canada).
