Partant des disciplines a\u00e9riennes du cirque, elle a test\u00e9 des dispositifs instables qui rendent possible une pratique a\u00e9rienne d\u2019\u00e9coute. Dans cette DEMO, Paloma nous explique davantage son projet, de la r\u00e9sidence \u00e0 sa forme finale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Approche et processus<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>En tant qu\u2019artiste, enseignante et chercheuse, j\u2019ai toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 passionn\u00e9e des techniques a\u00e9riennes de cirque. Depuis 2018, mon travail se concentre sur le r\u00f4le et la conscience de la gestion gravitaire dans le mouvement du corps en suspension, notamment sur une s\u00e9rie d\u2019agr\u00e8s a\u00e9riens, ou appareils acrobatiques, instables de mes propres conceptions chor\u00e9graphiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diff\u00e9rant des agr\u00e8s a\u00e9riens conventionnels, mes agr\u00e8s instables suivent le poids de l\u2019acrobate au lieu de le soutenir, emp\u00eachant le corps de faire la plupart des acrobaties pour lesquelles il a \u00e9t\u00e9 entra\u00een\u00e9, parce que le corps est soumis \u00e0 la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 de l\u2019appareil au lieu de le dominer. En revanche, ce travail corporel aide \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper une conscience fine de la gestion du poids, des compensations musculaires et de l\u2019\u00e9conomie de l\u2019effort, que l\u2019on soit seuls ou \u00e0 plusieurs. Liens \u00e9cologie-imaginaires dans le mouvement du corps en suspension sur un agr\u00e8s instable\u2009\u00bb. Je tente d\u2019y d\u00e9velopper la perspective d\u2019une pratique a\u00e9rienne d\u2019\u00e9coute. Par \u00ab\u2009\u00e9coute\u2009\u00bb je fais r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 un \u00e9tat de r\u00e9ceptivit\u00e9 sensorielle et d\u2019interaction performative avec des \u00e9l\u00e9ments tels que&nbsp;: les orientations du corps par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019appareil, l\u2019espace, la relation au sol, les chutes, les blessures, les affects, le son, la lumi\u00e8re, le public et enfin la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 de l\u2019action d\u2019\u00e9voluer en suspension sur un agr\u00e8s instable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"917\" height=\"624\" src=\"http:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/00_Troisieme-version-carte-heuristique-1280px-917x624.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17041\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/00_Troisieme-version-carte-heuristique-1280px-917x624.png 917w, https:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/00_Troisieme-version-carte-heuristique-1280px.png 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 917px) 100vw, 917px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Tous ces aspects servent comme des outils de recherche en premi\u00e8re personne, lors des s\u00e9ances de travail en salle et lors de pr\u00e9sentations de la pi\u00e8ce devant public. Depuis ce point de vue, la suspension peut s\u2019envisager comme une recherche d\u2019\u00e9tat et une investigation incarn\u00e9e, qui puisse tenir compte de la tension dialectique et ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nologique de cette pratique, telle que ressentie pendant le processus de cr\u00e9ation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:75px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>R\u00e9sidence Hexagram&nbsp;: Agora du C\u0153ur des sciences, 11-15 novembre 2023<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>En consid\u00e9rant le cirque comme un dispositif pour mettre en sc\u00e8ne la relation entre les humains et la gravit\u00e9, ma d\u00e9marche s\u2019articule autour de la recherche d\u2019un lien empathique (humanisant) envers le corps en suspension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le dispositif que j\u2019ai con\u00e7u englobe tous les \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la pi\u00e8ce, sans accorder de hi\u00e9rarchie particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 la performeuse ou \u00e0 la chor\u00e9graphie. L\u2019accent est mis sur la pr\u00e9sence et sur l\u2019\u00e9coute aux circonstances et aux \u00e9l\u00e9ments environnants. L\u2019objectif est de cr\u00e9er des conditions favorables \u00e0 la conscience de cette gestion chez la personne qui performe, rendant ainsi ces aspects perceptibles pour le public. De mani\u00e8re sp\u00e9cifique, ce dispositif s\u2019est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 en s\u2019adaptant \u00e0 chaque lieu de r\u00e9sidence, r\u00e9sultant de la s\u00e9rendipit\u00e9 et des ajustements r\u00e9els aux possibilit\u00e9s et aux contraintes de chaque endroit, pendant chaque \u00e9tape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La r\u00e9sidence d\u2019Hexagram \u00e0 l\u2019Agora du C\u0153ur des sciences m\u2019a permis de travailler pendant cinq jours avec mon \u00e9quipe pour effectuer l\u2019int\u00e9gration technique de ce dispositif et pr\u00e9parer une maquette pr\u00e9liminaire de la pi\u00e8ce. Par la suite, nous les avons raffin\u00e9s pendant un mois de r\u00e9sidence au D\u00e9partement de Danse de l\u2019UQAM, avant la pr\u00e9sentation finale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"http:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Agora_02-800px-crop.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17047\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Pendant notre s\u00e9jour \u00e0 l\u2019Agora, j\u2019ai collabor\u00e9 avec Bastian A. Miranda (pour les \u00e9clairages) et Marc-Andr\u00e9 Cossette (pour la programmation, le son et l\u2019audiovisuel). Notre travail visait \u00e0 assembler les pi\u00e8ces que chaque \u00e9tape de r\u00e9sidence pr\u00e9alable avait g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es&nbsp;: d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9, un syst\u00e8me de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de contenu visuel en temps r\u00e9el avec un programme de d\u00e9clenchement al\u00e9atoire de sons\u2009; d\u2019un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, une approche traditionnelle \u00e0 la conception d\u2019\u00e9clairages\u2009; et finalement, une approche \u00e0 la performance en suspension bas\u00e9e sur le mod\u00e8le des pratiques somatiques. Pour cette derni\u00e8re dimension, j\u2019ai assur\u00e9 l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation, gr\u00e2ce au regard ext\u00e9rieur de Johanne Pelletier et \u00e0 la direction d\u2019Andr\u00e9e Martin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"http:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Agora_05-800px.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17049\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-layout-3 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"http:\/\/hexagram.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Agora_12-800px-crop.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17045\"\/><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette \u00e9tape de travail intensive nous a facilit\u00e9 l\u2019entr\u00e9e en salle lors de notre derni\u00e8re r\u00e9sidence au Laboratoire Arts Vivants et Interdisciplinarit\u00e9 (LAVI, du 31&nbsp;janvier au 9&nbsp;f\u00e9vrier 2024), o\u00f9 nous avons adapt\u00e9 la maquette construite \u00e0 l\u2019Agora \u00e0 un dispositif immersif, une perspective \u00e0 l\u2019italienne avec trois \u00e9crans. La derni\u00e8re ligne droite a \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e par un mois de r\u00e9p\u00e9titions visant \u00e0 affiner l\u2019\u0153uvre, du premier jour jusqu\u2019aux pr\u00e9sentations finales (DEMO Hexagram) les 6 et 8&nbsp;f\u00e9vrier 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Travailler dans un \u00e9tat d\u2019\u00e9coute profonde exige un effort consid\u00e9rable, une ouverture perceptuelle qui traverse la temporalit\u00e9 de la pi\u00e8ce. L\u2019attitude de la personne qui performe se rapproche de l\u2019introspection et s\u2019\u00e9loigne de la spectacularit\u00e9. Cela rend le performeur extr\u00eamement vuln\u00e9rable devant le public et ses attentes, qui est implicitement invit\u00e9 \u00e0 adopter une attitude de contemplation similaire, \u00e0 pr\u00eater le m\u00eame type d\u2019\u00e9coute. Ainsi, le sens ultime de la pi\u00e8ce r\u00e9side dans la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019empathie&nbsp;: un moment de vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 partag\u00e9e entre le performeur et le spectateur \u00e0 travers cette exp\u00e9rience esth\u00e9tique, contemplative, ancr\u00e9e sur l\u2019instant pr\u00e9sent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le processus de cette pi\u00e8ce m\u2019a appris que le partage de cette vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 authentique (sans jeu ni surjeu), dans un contexte qui valorise la prouesse et qui s\u2019attend \u00e0 l\u2019exploit, constitue un beau d\u00e9fi autant dans la cr\u00e9ation que dans la recherche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:75px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Variations sur le corps, la suspension et la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 <\/em>(2024<\/strong>)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>La pi\u00e8ce se compose d\u2019un solo de 45&nbsp;minutes pour une performeuse et un trap\u00e8ze instable. Elle \u00e9volue \u00e0 partir d\u2019une s\u00e9rie de variations sur trois phras\u00e9s de mouvement, alternant des passages du corps entre la terre et la suspension. Chaque section est accompagn\u00e9e de variations du dispositif sc\u00e9nique, pr\u00e9sentant le corps de mani\u00e8re diff\u00e9rente et construisant une atmosph\u00e8re contemplative. Ces transformations, influenc\u00e9es par la gestion gravitaire du corps, l\u2019instabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019agr\u00e8s, les \u00e9clairages, le son et les projections, explorent diverses formes de pr\u00e9carit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube abord\u00e9e ici ne vise pas \u00e0 repr\u00e9senter le d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibre ou la mise en danger au premier degr\u00e9. Ce concept d\u00e9coule plut\u00f4t d\u2019une exp\u00e9rience personnelle et n\u2019est pas n\u00e9cessairement explicit\u00e9 sur sc\u00e8ne, mais sert de point de d\u00e9part \u00e0 ma recherche. L\u2019id\u00e9e est de consid\u00e9rer la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 depuis une approche situ\u00e9e, non comme une contrainte, mais comme une ressource, \u00e0 la fois physique et symbolique pour explorer la fa\u00e7on dont on est au monde. Un trap\u00e8ze instable conditionne radicalement la mani\u00e8re dont le corps \u00e9volue en suspension et sur sc\u00e8ne. Plut\u00f4t que de ma\u00eetriser l&rsquo;environnement comme au cirque, l&rsquo;artiste accepte de s&rsquo;engager dans une perp\u00e9tuelle n\u00e9gociation, un dialogue ou encore un questionnement avec. Au fil du temps, le corps trouve ses rep\u00e8res et devient de plus en plus capable de se contr\u00f4ler dans ce milieu instable. Cependant, l&rsquo;objectif de la recherche \u00e9volue avec le processus. Ainsi, dans cette perspective, un agr\u00e8s instable n&rsquo;est pas pens\u00e9 pour arriver \u00e0 \u00eatre totalement ma\u00eetris\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019intention n\u2019est pas d\u2019\u00eatre ni de ressembler \u00e0 une a\u00e9rialiste, mais d\u2019\u00eatre sensible \u00e0 la fragilit\u00e9 des relations entre le corps, l\u2019agr\u00e8s, la gravit\u00e9, l\u2019espace, le son, les affects et l\u2019autre.
