Le design narratif\u2009est l\u2019une des nouvelles sp\u00e9cialisations ayant \u00e9merg\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9volution des jeux vid\u00e9o. Ces sp\u00e9cialistes doivent \u00e0 la fois tenir compte des contraintes de la sc\u00e9narisation et de l\u2019interactivit\u00e9 : raconter une bonne histoire tout en y am\u00e9nageant un espace de jeu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bien que la pratique soit r\u00e9cente, elle \u00e9volue rapidement. Chaque nouveau jeu propose une nouvelle recette pour m\u00e9langer r\u00e9cit et agentivit\u00e9, couple parfait pour certains, duo incompatible pour d\u2019autres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quel est l\u2019\u00e9tat actuel du design narratif\u2009? Comment ont \u00e9volu\u00e9 les m\u00e9thodes et pratiques\u2009? Contre quels probl\u00e8mes se bute-t-il encore\u2009? Quelles pistes int\u00e9ressantes peut-on voir \u00e0 l\u2019horizon\u2009?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette table ronde, organis\u00e9e par la Chaire de Recherche Behaviour Interactive en Design de Jeu de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Concordia<\/a>, rassemblera des designers narratifs professionnels et des chercheurs universitaires pour aborder ces questions dans le contexte d\u2019une conversation conviviale et accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dominic Arsenault<\/strong> enseigne et m\u00e8ne des recherches sur le jeu vid\u00e9o au d\u00e9partement d’histoire de l’art, de cin\u00e9ma et des m\u00e9dias audiovisuels de l’UdeM. Il anime l\u2019\u00e9mission La Grande Ludoth\u00e8que \u00e0 CISM<\/a>, m\u00e9lange musique m\u00e9tal et jeux r\u00e9tro sous le nom Multi-Memory Controller<\/a>, et cr\u00e9e des jeux pour Arsenic & Domino<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emmanuel Aubert<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Emmanuel Aubert<\/strong> travaille dans l’industrie du jeu vid\u00e9o depuis plus de dix ans. Il a occup\u00e9 les postes de concepteur de jeux, concepteur de qu\u00eate, d\u2019\u00e9crivain et de directeur narratif, et est actuellement Narrative Designer<\/em> chez Krafton Montr\u00e9al<\/a>. Son travail porte notamment sur les syst\u00e8mes narratifs et le prototypage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan Lessard<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Titulaire de la chaire de recherche Behaviour Interactive en Design de Jeu<\/a>, Jonathan Lessard<\/strong> enseigne cette discipline en tant que professeur du d\u00e9partement de Design and Computation Arts<\/em><\/a> \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Concordia. Il con\u00e7oit et d\u00e9veloppe des jeux depuis plus de 20 ans, d\u00e9sormais dans un contexte de recherche-cr\u00e9ation visant particuli\u00e8rement l\u2019appropriation ludique de nouvelles technologies telles que le traitement du langage naturel, les simulations sociales et l\u2019intelligence artificielle g\u00e9n\u00e9rative. Depuis son doctorat sur les jeux d\u2019aventure, il s\u2019int\u00e9resse \u00e9galement \u00e0 l\u2019histoire des jeux sous l\u2019angle de leur design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catherine Robinson<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Catherine Robinson<\/strong> travaille dans l\u2019industrie depuis huit ans comme productrice cr\u00e9ative et designer narrative sur des projets de jeux vid\u00e9o et ARG (Alice & Smith<\/a>, Youville Haussmann Park<\/a>, Lowbirth Games<\/a>, Eden Creative<\/a>). Elle enseigne aussi chez ISART Digital<\/a> et se sp\u00e9cialise en narration transm\u00e9dia et en worldbuilding<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elise Trinh<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Elise Trinh<\/strong> (elle\/iel) est une designer narrative senior qui a travaill\u00e9 pour des projets et studios vari\u00e9s (Ubisoft<\/a>, ZA\/UM<\/a>). Elle a \u00e9galement enseign\u00e9 la conception de jeu dans plusieurs \u00e9coles et universit\u00e9s. Elle s\u2019int\u00e9resse actuellement au potentiel \u00e9motionnel des micro-interactions dans les jeux narratifs dans le cadre d\u2019un projet de recherche-cr\u00e9ation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
