Call for Projects Hexagram-UQAM

WINTER/SUMMER 2026

Deadline: October 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

The Hexagram-UQAM Institutional Centre offers members of the Hexagram Network access to equipment and room rentals, space preparation, and basic technical support. Projects must take place during the term covered by the call, from January 1 to June 30, 2026.


This call includes two components:

Residency Program

The first component offers research-creation residencies lasting up to two consecutive weeks. Each residency must conclude with a knowledge-sharing activity with the scientific community or the public, either at the end of the residency or at a later date, to present the results and creative process.

Collective Activities

The second component concerns the organization of collective activities involving several members of the Hexagram Network. Projects must take place during the term covered by the call.

Selected applicants can be eligible to the DEMO program that offers a stipend to supports the documentation and dissemination of research-creation projects.

NEW

Since Spring 2024, Hexagram-UQAM has acquired new equipment:

  • Prusa XL 3D printer with 5 extruders
  • Two Christie M 4K RGB Pure Laser projectors: one installed at the Agora of the Coeur des sciences, and one mobile unit provided by the Médiane Research Chair (Gisèle Trudel)
  • Virtual reality headsets: 2 Meta Quest 3 (512 GB) and 1 Meta Quest S (256 GB)
  • VR prototyping room: a dedicated space for Meta Quest devices, equipped with a high-performance PC

Eligibility

  • All Hexagram Network members — co-researchers, students, collaborators — may submit a project.
  • Submitted projects must align with the mission of the Hexagram Network.
  • Projects submitted by student or collaborator members must be supervised by a co-investigator member of the Network, with proof of supervision.
  • Student projects are only eligible if they are part of their academic path, such as a research-creation project leading to a degree or related to their research work.
