The co-investigator, professor at NAD-UQAC School, and lead of the Digital Creativity Axis of the CREAT Chair (FRQSC), has received a Connection Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), totaling $48,164.
This funding will support the development of an annual program dedicated to research‑creation in digital creativity, a rapidly expanding field that plays a key role in today’s social transformations.
This grant will help strengthen the understanding and visibility of research‑creation in digital creativity, a field still often underrecognized despite its growing importance. By bringing together major partners such as the CREAT Chair, the Hexagram Network, the Behaviour Interactive Chair, and the Milieux Institute, the project establishes a strong interdisciplinary framework to address current issues related to technology, including social transformations, the challenges of generative AI, algorithmic bias, and emerging forms of cultural mediation.
Through a diverse program combining a conference, workshops, an exhibition, grants, podcasts, and publications, this initiative will offer essential spaces for training, dialogue, and dissemination to support emerging scholars, equip creators, and promote more critical, inclusive, and innovative digital practices.
Stay tuned!
The activities, the result of dynamic collaborations among our members, will soon be unveiled as part of the 2026 Rencontres Interdisciplinaires.
