In 2016-2017, Hexagram and the Mexican Center for Music and Sonic Arts (CMMAS) will organize four artistic exchanges on music and sound.
Following the initiative of Ricardo dal Farra and Sandeep Bhagwati, two Hexagram members, these exchanges will develop tangible cooperation between these organizations.
In the fall of 2016, Maxime Michaud and Eric Powell, two student members participated in Visiones Sonoras de Morales in Mexico, each presenting a concert.
This spring, the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec, in collaboration with Concordia University, will present four Montreal artists at its Montreal New Music Festival.
Hexagram wishes to establish strong and lasting links between its members and our Mexican partners, organizers and artists.
These exchanges are supported by the Ministère de la culture et des communications and the Ministère des relations Internationales du Québec.
Concerts / Sonido y Espacio de México
As part of it’s exchange with Mexico, Hexagram invites you to a concert by Iracema de Andrade et Rodrigo Sigal at SMCQ 8th edition of Montreal New Musique. The two misicians will interpret pieces by Álvarez, Lara, López Charles, Macías, Pichardo, Sigal.
The concert is part of SMCQ’s Montreal Nouvelles Musiques 8th edition at Agora Hydro Québec, UQAM on March 2nd 2017 7PM
