The event “Immersive Lectures: Exploring Knowledge in Fulldome Format” was designed to allow members of the Hexagram community to explore the possibilities of the immersive dome in the creation of a spatialized scientific lecture.
During the spring of 2026, some twenty researchers took on the challenge of adapting their research and research-creation work for presentation in the immersive dome using tools created with the Unity and TouchDesigner software.
On June 12, in a friendly atmosphere, we invite you to come discover the results of their experiments. Among these presentations, a preliminary version of the follow-up to the Hexagram Cartographie(s) project on current practices in research-creation will be shared. An informal discussion on the experience of the presenters and the audience will follow the presentations. Join us in this collective reflection on the possibilities offered by the immersive dome in the dissemination and communication of scientific knowledge!
This event is organized by the Chantier Cartography during the 2026 Interdisciplinary Encounters. It will be held in person only, in the dome of the Society for Arts and Technology. Presentations will be given in French, but audience contributions in English are welcome.
