Are you interested in writing a book? Do you want to know how to write a proposal? Are you curious what the future of new media in academic publishing is? MIT Press Senior Acquisitions Editor for New Media, Game Studies, Digital Humanities and HCI as well as Hexagram collaborator Doug Sery invites Hexagram student members interested in the secrets of academic publishing to an informal discussion and “pitch session” on Monday afternoon, April 23 at the Milieux Speculative Life cluster space, EV 10.625 at Concordia University.
This will be an informal gathering where you can bring your questions and even prepare a short (1-2 minute) pitch to Doug about your thesis or book/publishing idea and will have the rare opportunity to get a response to your ideas.
If you are interested, please RSVP by sending your name and contact email to coordination@hexagram.ca with the email subject “RSVP MIT Press Pitch session”. We will have around 12 places open to Hexagram student members.
