In this session, Nelly-Eve Rajotte illuminates the practices, processes and challenges involved in conceiving and creating monumental projections and immersive installation. She will provide a presentation of examples from personal experience, and unpack the components involved in a work of video mapping—examining its potential iterations as a performance, an installation and an architectural projection.
The workshop will include an overview of MadMapper software, necessary codecs and madmapper hub for other programs, like MAX, VDMX, MODUL8, PURE DATA and the open source MAPMAP.
Looking at both the theoretical and practical elements of light, space, volume, photo, drawing, sculpture and video, participants will be organized into teams to create a simple 3D model using foamcore, and then work to realize their project.
