    ATTRACTIVE ‘ACID’ CYCLES

Gaëlle Scali [student member, UQAM] will present her new live performance Attractive ‘Acid’ Cycles at the Society for Arts and Technology for the MUTEK Festival Nocturne 1.Attractive ‘Acid’ Cycles is a generative audiovisual performance inspired by fractal mathematics. Gaëlle uses sequencers, synthesizers and samplers to induce dub, acid, house and experimental sound textures created from sequences of integers, which in turn generate speculative, post-psychedelic and overtly glitchy visual worlds. Gaëlle is currently pursuing a master’s degree in experimental media at UQÀM, and has presented an original research-creation project entitled Scalability at the Ars Electronica festival in 2021, aimed at demonstrating the potential for real-time graphic, spatial and sonic interaction between the music production software Ableton Live and Max MSP and the video game creation engine Unity 3D.
