As of February, Galerie de l’UQAM will be closely observing the impact of human activity on our environment with These Rooms of Earth and Stones, an exhibition that brings together the work of artists Michel Boulanger (QC) and Katja Davar (DE). Organized by Simone Scholten (DE), the project furthermore serves as a collaborative and cultural exchange between a curator and an artist from Germany and an artist from Québec.

Call for proposals
Uncommon Senses III: The Future of the Senses will be taking place May 1–4 2020 at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Submissions are invited from scholars across the social sciences, humanities and arts interested in exploring the future of the senses in a changing world.
The call for proposals closes on November 15 2019. Proposals will be peer-reviewed and decisions rendered in mid-December 2019.

How do the arts and sciences inflect each other or perhaps even coalesce in an exhibition format? The LASER Hexagram Montreal’s 8th edition will address this topic through a selection of themes, including organ transplant as explored in artworks and the role of design in communicating scientific discourse and knowledge to different publics.
Hexagram Network is proud to be an official partner of Festival du Nouveau Cinéma (FNC) in the presentation of FNC EXPLORE a new portion of the festival dedicated to new and emerging technologies. Talks and workshops round out the section, helping us sharpen our critical gaze and inspiring new thinking.
