International researchers working in collaboration with Hexagram in Montreal

Hexagram hosts visiting researchers from around the world. Scholars and artists who are interested in traveling to Montreal to work on a project with one or more Hexagram members for a limited amount of time (under 1 year) are asked to contact the relevant member(s) directly.

The ratification of nominations for Visting Scholar/Artist, is the prerogative of Hexagram’s executive committee. Executive committee rmeets every six weeks and reviews applications. The Visting Scholar/Artist status will be granted for the duration of the project.

Visiting scholars/artists contribute to the life of the network during the duration of their stay, and present a public talk/event based on the work conducted.

Hexagram as a network is unable to provide travel funding, salary or lodging for visiting scholars/artists. Access to infrastructure (office space, laboratories) and equipment is based on the specific conditions of the university the researcher will be affiliated with.

In order to be considered for Visting Scholar/Artist status, the regular member must submit a letter of invitation which will outline the exact nature of the collaboration and how the visitor’s affiliation with Hexagram will contribute to the life of the network, candidate’s curriculum vitae, a budget (including partners contribution) and a calendar.
